For Claude Code in your terminal. Claude Code keeps its own list on each computer, separate from your claude.ai account: do this once on each computer you use, and it covers every Claude account you use there, including several accounts a local proxy such as CLIProxyAPI switches between.

Open Terminal

On a Mac press Command and Space, type Terminal and press Return. On Windows open PowerShell.

Paste this line and press Return

It adds Trillion for every folder on this computer, then opens your browser to sign in.
If not: “command not found: claude” means Claude Code is not installed on this computer. Install it from claude.com/claude-code, then paste the line again.

Tap your passkey in the browser

A Trillion page opens in your browser: tap your passkey and allow Claude Code.When it worked: Terminal says the sign-in worked.If not: if the browser did not open, start Claude Code by typing claude, then type /mcp, choose trillion and choose Authenticate.

Check it

Paste this and press Return.
When it worked: a line that starts with trillion and says Connected.

Let Trillion run without asking

Open the file ~/.claude/settings.json and add "mcp__trillion" to the list under permissions, allow, as below. Claude Code then uses every Trillion tool without asking you each time.

Leave as it is: everything else already in the file. Add the line to the allow list that is there, or add the permissions part if there is none.

Ask for something

Start Claude Code by typing claude, then ask in plain words, for example:
