# Quickstart

> Connect your AI to Trillion and make your first decision in a few minutes.

Trillion equips the AI you already use. Once it is connected, your AI can walk a decision through the right questions, find a tool that does a job, keep your files and goals, and hand work to your other AIs. You ask in plain words; your AI does the rest.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add Trillion to your AI">
    Every AI app connects to the same address:

    ```text theme={null}
    https://app.gettrillion.ai/mcp
    ```

    Pick your app for the exact clicks:

    <Tabs>
      <Tab title="Claude">
        In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app: **Customize**, **Connectors**, **+**, **Add custom connector**. Name it `Trillion`, paste the address, leave the sign-in choices as they are and click **Add**, then **Connect**. [Full steps](/connect/claude-desktop)
      </Tab>

      <Tab title="ChatGPT">
        At chatgpt.com: **Settings**, **Security and login**, switch on **Developer mode**. Then open [chatgpt.com/plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins), click **+**, name it `Trillion`, paste the address, keep OAuth, tick the box and click **Create**. [Full steps](/connect/chatgpt)
      </Tab>

      <Tab title="Claude Code">
        ```bash theme={null}
        claude mcp add --transport http --scope user trillion https://app.gettrillion.ai/mcp && claude mcp login trillion
        ```

        [Full steps](/connect/claude-code)
      </Tab>

      <Tab title="Codex">
        ```bash theme={null}
        codex mcp add trillion --url https://app.gettrillion.ai/mcp
        ```

        [Full steps](/connect/codex)
      </Tab>

      <Tab title="Cursor">
        Click [Add to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=trillion\&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwcC5nZXR0cmlsbGlvbi5haS9tY3AifQ%3D%3D) and confirm, then click **Connect** next to trillion in Cursor Settings, MCP. [Full steps](/connect/cursor)
      </Tab>

      <Tab title="Other">
        Find where your app adds an MCP server or connector, paste the address, and choose OAuth if it asks how to sign in. [Gemini CLI](/connect/gemini-cli), [Muse](/connect/muse), [any other app](/connect/other-apps)
      </Tab>
    </Tabs>

    Would rather not click? Paste the [setup message](/connect/overview#easiest-let-your-ai-set-it-up) into your AI and it sets Trillion up itself, or walks you through it one step at a time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in with your passkey">
    Your app opens a Trillion page. Tap your passkey (Touch ID, Face ID or your device code) and allow the app. There is no password, API key or client id to type.

    New to Trillion? Choose **Create your Trillion account** under **New here?** on that page. Your device makes the passkey and keeps it in your Passwords app under the name Trillion.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Let Trillion run without asking">
    Your AI works best when it can use Trillion's tools without stopping to ask you each time.

    * **Claude:** in **Customize**, **Connectors**, click Trillion and choose **Always allow** for each group of tools.
    * **Claude Code:** add `"mcp__trillion"` to `permissions.allow` in `~/.claude/settings.json`.
    * **Codex:** add `default_tools_approval_mode = "approve"` under `[mcp_servers.trillion]` in `~/.codex/config.toml`.
    * **ChatGPT:** when it asks before a Trillion tool, choose to remember your answer for that chat.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make your first decision">
    Ask your AI in plain words. Start your message with "Use Trillion" so it reaches for Trillion:

    ```text theme={null}
    Use Trillion to help me decide whether to fix the checkout bug or ship the new pricing page first.
    ```

    Here is what happens:

    1. Your AI opens the decision with your goal, the facts it already knows and at least two options.
    2. It walks Trillion's questions in order, answering what it can from what it knows about you and asking you only what only you can answer.
    3. When no question remains, it records the choice with its reason, the next action and how you will know it worked.

    You can ask it to export the whole decision as a readable document.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Close the loop">
    When you know how it turned out, tell your AI. The next decision starts from what really happened.

    ```text theme={null}
    Tell Trillion that last week's pricing decision worked: 4 people bought.
    ```
  </Step>
</Steps>

  </Card>

  <Card title="Meet the right people" icon="users" href="/reference/people">

## Free and paid

The free plan includes 5 decisions a month and keeps none of them: each decision is yours to read in the chat, but it is not saved. A paid plan has no monthly limit on decisions, keeps every decision, note and result, brings back your past decisions when a similar one comes up, and adds the Workshop, your files, shared spaces, the network and handing work between your AI apps. Manage your plan in your Trillion under **Plan & billing**.
