# Gemini CLI

> Add Trillion to Gemini in your terminal as a remote MCP server.

For Gemini in your terminal. Gemini's web app does not currently document a way to add a custom MCP server.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add Trillion">
    In Terminal, add Trillion as a remote MCP server. Gemini opens a browser when it needs you to sign in.

    ```bash theme={null}
    gemini mcp add --transport http trillion https://app.gettrillion.ai/mcp
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in and check the connection">
    Tap your Trillion passkey in the browser. Then check that Gemini lists Trillion.

    ```bash theme={null}
    gemini mcp list
    ```

    **When it worked:** Trillion appears in the list of connected MCP servers.

    **If not:** in a Gemini CLI session, type `/mcp list` to inspect the connection, or `/mcp auth trillion` to sign in again.
  </Step>
</Steps>
