# Cursor

> Add Trillion to the Cursor editor with one click, or by hand in mcp.json.

For the Cursor editor. Do it once on each computer you use.

  <Step title="Click Add to Cursor">
    Cursor opens and asks whether to install trillion. Confirm it.

    **When it worked:** trillion is in Cursor Settings, in the MCP section.

    **If not:** if nothing opened, do the next step instead.

  <Step title="Only if nothing opened: add it by hand">
    Open Cursor Settings (Command and comma), go to the MCP section and add a new MCP server. Cursor opens a file called `mcp.json`. Replace what is in it with the lines below and save with Command and S.

  <Step title="Sign in">
    In Cursor Settings, MCP section, click **Connect** next to trillion. Your browser opens: tap your passkey and allow Cursor.

    **When it worked:** a green dot next to trillion and a list of its tools.

    **If not:** if Connect does nothing, quit Cursor completely (Command and Q), open it again and click **Connect** once more.

    Open Cursor's chat and ask in plain words, for example:
